It has no exact gameplay, you just wander around collecting items, interacting with stuff and searching for secrets.
It's up to you to decide what you wanna do here, really.
I can sometimes do some RP there or just record videos.
This game has lots of items, mostly food, but there are also weapons like swords, cards and even GUNS!
Besides the main house, there are also other locations where some of my friends live.
Some are really weird, I must say, but still pretty fun.
And yes, this game IS bigger than it seems, there might be something hidden underground.... scary.
But for the most part it's just a showcase game and a personal project, which I really like to update.
Anyways, have fun!
Woww, look at that house!
So, this page will mostly include interesting trivia and history regarding this game that I wanted to keep here for archival purposes and just simply share them with you, the one who visited this page and reads this article!
Trust me, some of the stuff here is pretty interesting.
I'd like to start off with this game's history.
History
2019 | my dream room
Way back in 2019 this game used to be REALLY different, no wonder why.
I was younger, had bad building skills (mostly because I did not use snapping so everything was clunky as hell) and bla bla bla..
This was a very weird house, I must say.
As you can see I didn't even call it a "house" yet.
I can't even say what exactly inspired me to make it, but here it is.
Maybe I was just randomly messing around in Roblox Studio and made this.
I actually liked working in Roblox Studio since 2018 so it wouldn't be a surprise for me to think that this is how this game got made.
Anyways, take a look at it!
Apple Headquarters, I guess, and an Apple Store in the back.
The inside of this place mostly consists of posters and other with my hyperfixations at the time: Cartoon Network shows, Lucky Star anime, Nintendo games and whatever!
Really makes me think of my potential autism.
In fact, this hyperfixations thing is still in the current version of the game, but on a lesser level, I guess.
It may be less visible due to my grown building and modeling skills, not relying solely on free models anymore and just getting better taste.
Though you can still see a tiny portion of free models and other assets that are not mine in the current version,
the most notable being cgcfad's chair model, which is just too perfect and I do really use it A LOT.
Here on the next screenshot you can also see a boombox.
Let's just say that they're pretty similar to CDs in the current version of the game.
They also play music, WOW!
The only difference is that you can't pause it: audio stops after you click on the boombox again.
I even know what song can be played from this boombox, luckily back in 2019 I actually renamed all the boomboxes to the names of their respective songs they play!
The one in the living room plays Triple Baka by Hatsune Miku.
Pretty much every boombox in this game plays some random anime/weeb/Nico Nico Douga MAD stuff.
It was a pretty big interest of mine at the time, as you can tell, and I was yet to develop an actual music taste.
Blame osu! for all that jazz.
So glad I'm no longer into anime anymore, but into furries instead!
Also for some reason I hated Unikitty, no idea why, honestly.
It was another strange hyperfixation at the time, and was a big part of my personality for 1,5 - 2 years somehow.
Even later in 2020 after rewatching Lego Movie I liked her as a character but didn't like her CN show for some reason, yet I also liked Dr. Fox from that show..
All of this is super weird and perhaps one of the reasons as to why I became a furry. Reverse psychology in its purest and unaltered form, I presume.
You can't imagine how cringy I felt talking about this AGAIN after so many years, but I HAD to write about it just for the sake of archive.
That's where you spawn, in this living room.More Posters (Resident Evil ahh camera angle, I know)Idk
Not only that, this version also includes lots of hidden hallways and rooms inside of posters. So now you know that this game always had secrets.
And yeah, I think it won't be surprising to say that secrets here are pretty weird, though I'll show only 4 of them.
Code DoorKonata Poster Secret
2019 humor is just something else, I'll never find it funny.
It gives off heavy Reddit vibes unfortunately.
All the T-Poses and Nintendo stuff are just incomprehensible levels of cringe.
And yes, that sign WAS there all the time, back in 2019.
This is not something that I added just now for the laughs.
Konata Poster Secret Ladder SecretWorm of SecretsApple Store Secret
The Humble Apple Store. That's literally just Apple Store. It's obviously a free model. I'm scared of it.
I don't think there's anything else that I can say about this version, it's already such a wild ride, at least for me.
Though I'm glad it exists, it woke up some core memories inside of me, for better or for worse.
It made me feel this 2019 cringe once again, made me remember Summer 2019 once again, which I can appreciate!
Even though it's not the best nor most influential version of the game, I like it, and not just for the nostalgia it gives me.
It was also pretty unexpected to see some elements that are still present in the current version, like the boomboxes/CDs mechanic and of course many secrets.
At some point I forgot they even exist!
I think it's a really interesting version in retrospective, especially seeing how this game has come a long way now.
The next version, however, is not as interesting but still should be talked about.
2022 | artmegal's newer house
2022 was also a pretty strange time period for me.
I was becoming a teenager, and a very weird one too!
At this time period I also started making music. Music that is bad.
I still had beefs with people from the Mad Paintball modding community but slowly started fading into obscurity there, thank God.
Honestly I don't want to talk about it, since it brings me something similar to PTSD, but it seems that I have to, but not now.
Anyways, I needed that just for time context.
As I pretty much left the MPB modding community, I joined the Roblox AFK games community - The Milk Drinkers Discord, to be exact.
I might even say that The Milk Drinkers is still my favorite AFK game, mostly atmosphere wise.
As you can see, I took LOTS of inspiration from this game and its creator - cgcfad.
So it'll be not so surprising to see some similiraties in mine and his building styles.
Anyways, after I joined the TMD Discord, it was really interesting for me to dig deep into this game's "lore" and "background", mostly through Steve's channel on YouTube and old obscure Roblox games he and his friends made. And one of those games was jellygoober's house.
In Summer of 2022 I made a Walmart discount version of that game - artmegal's newer house.
And by the way, ARTMEGAL is NOT a typo.
At that time this was indeed my nickname, I just swapped two letters and called it a day.
Anyways, yeah, since 2021 and maybe even 2020 I had this huge unoriginality problem and did asset stealing too, which got me into trouble in the MPB modding community, and in TMD Discord too but on a way lesser level: I still talk with the guys from TMD community, they're pretty dope.
The funniest thing is that I still have all those assets and even saveinstanced game files, but I don't even use them anymore.
I can only use them as reference now.
If you think about it, I even did some unintentional archival work, since many of the games I saveinstanced are not available for playing anymore.
Though saveinstance() is not perfect and doesn't save every tiny bit of the game, e. g. everything that is located in ServerStorage/ServerScriptService cannot be saved, since these folders are server-sided.
I don't do that anymore anyways, so it doesn't matter. Don't use Roblox script injectors, most of them are really sketchy. And of course, I regret doing asset stealing.
I had no bad intentions behind this, I was just Too Much Too Young to understand that this could harm someone.
If I did profit off someone's assets I'm VERY SORRY for this. It's not like I did actual money off them: I never had and never will have DevEx, and again, I did NOT have intentions to make money off those assets and other stuff, I was VERY YOUNG to even think about such things.
And somehow asset stealing did eventually help me develop my own building style! YAYYY! But the 2022 version of my house is not the case.
Man, at least my dream room was original. In 2022 I finally started using snapping, so no wonder why my builds became a lot less clunky!!!
And now, take a look at "my" house! I made way too much hoopla before FINALLY showing this house, I know.
jellygoober's artmegal's house!jellygoober's artmegal's house @ Nite!
The inside of this house is very boring and empty, honestly.
I genuinely don't know how I was okay with this back in 2022.
Though I must say, there are still some fun elements that made it onto the current house.
For example, the Edible Cap item is still present in the current version, just hidden in a pantry.
Also a Camera item mostly used for recording purposes actually made its first appearance in this 2022 version of the game.
Same goes for a Plant.
It's just a plant.
A plant that made its first appearance in milk drinkers legacy modding, as one of the items that was given out for completing the N64 Quest, to be exact.
It is a top-class camouflage gear.
I gave it away for free in my house game.
Inside 1. Not gonna lie, I really wanna add a pillow fort in the current house. Would be pretty neat.Inside 2. Feels a lot like an empty liminal space. This version is haunted.Inside 3. Kitchen.
For me it's the least interesting version of the game.
The only interesting thing behind it is the time context and overall background of mine.
It suffers a lot from unoriginality and lack of vision, whatever that means!
Even though I generally don't really like this version, I still left some references to it in the current version of my house game and even in Rewritten probably bunker!
